You Decide Who You Choose as Your Therapist
Challenges such as relationship conflict, family crisis, health issues, job loss, or the death of a loved one can emotionally derail you. You might feel stuck, with limited ability to move forward. Acknowledging your distress is an important first step in moving toward a more satisfying life.
Choosing a therapist can be a daunting first step. My style of attachment-oriented, relational, strength-based counseling, plus my calm, welcoming demeanor offers a place to process your concerns without judgment. As your therapist, I will begin by assuring that our time together is a safe, confidential place
for you to share your experiences. I will attentively listen and begin to understand your perspective, encourage you to express your feelings, and offer acceptance without judgment. I will also provide feedback, and look for patterns you may have developed that no longer work for you.
We will work together to diminish the effects of trauma or past emotional wounds and begin to uncover the strengths you already possess. Your inner resilience is still within you, it may just be overshadowed by uninvited, difficult experiences.
If you are looking for relationship guidance, couples counseling, relief from anxiety or depression, working through developmental trauma, or seeking personal growth, our time together will be spent exploring your current situation and discovering new possibilities. Once you are better able to understand your circumstances, able to express and work through your feelings, you can begin to open yourself to a life that reflects a deeper sense of wellbeing.
My hope is that as you read through my website, you have an initial sense of who I am and how I work.
If I can answer any further questions, I invite you to inquire about a free consultation. During the free 15-minute phone consultation we will briefly discuss your current situation. This is also the time for me to answer any questions about confidentiality, how the intake process works, fees, and other administrative information that may not be answered in GOOD TO KNOW INFO.
